Diese neue Publikation dokumentiert Mathias Polednas Film Installation “Version” von 2004. “Version” wurde u.a. 2006 in der Galerie Daniel Buchholz, Köln, gezeigt und war Teil der im gleichen Jahr stattfindenden Whitney Biennial in New York. Die Publikation enthält einen monografischen Text über “Version” und ihre Begleit-Arbeit, dem kurzen Film “Sufferers’ Version”. Mathias Poledna hat die Publikation in Form eines Doppel-LP-Covers mit eingehefteten, großformatigen s/w Tafeln und beigefügtem Booklet konzipiert und gestaltet. Das Cover der Publikation ist eine Hommage an Ronald Clyne, dem Designer des amerikanischen Plattenlabels Folkways Records. Eine Vorzugsausgabe der Publikation von 10+1 nummerierten und signierten Exemplaren enthält eine speziell produzierte 12″ Dubplate.

This new publication documents Mathias Poledna’s 2004 film installation “Version” which was exhibited at Galerie Daniel Buchholz, Cologne in 2006, the Whitney Biennial of the same year, as well as many other international venues. The publication features a monographic essay by Juliane Rebentisch on the work and its companion piece, “Sufferers’ Version”. Conceived and designed by Mathias Poledna it takes on the form of a double LP-sleeve with an insert of largescale plates and a supplementary booklet. The cover motive is in tribute to Ronald Clyne, the seminal designer of album sleeves for the US-label Folkways Records.
A numbered edition of 10+1 is signed by the artist and contains a 12″ dubplate especially produced for this occasion.
